Right now, I recommend a visit to the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, to see their latest exhibition, Dark Matters: shadow - technology - art. It would be a dull person who could stand in front of Daniel Rozin's snow mirror, realise that they're looking at themself and not get the urge to play 'look at me'. His peg mirror was fascinating too, but there was other brilliant work there - Ja Young Ku's layered film of himself was a special favourite. It's on until mid-january.
So I've decided to have a go at keeping a diary (that's how I think of it) - it won't be regular, I'm pretty sure, but it'll give me somewhere to share those wow! moments. If I'd had a blog when I came back from BABE, for instance, I'd have had somewhere to wax lyrical about the location, the friendly weather, the fantastic book artists, the coffee and cake trolley, just the whole weekend. But that was then, and I'll have to wait till 2013 to do it again.

Hi there
I make prints and book arts, though nowhere near as often as I'd like - no good reason, just an inability to get on with things. I occasionally go on about landscape (with which I am mildly obsessed) and various of its elements, and I like to pass comment on exhibitions I visit. Archives
